This survey was conducted based on the various factors including price appreciation, supply, sales, unsold inventories, delays in project completion and size of the market. Bangalore, which was in the sixth positon in the same survey conducted during the year 2009 has pushed itself up to reach the top position. Not just Bangalore, various cities down the south Chennai and Hyderabad has made it this time to take over the third, fourth positon respectively.

Most vital parameters include, realty prices staying at realistic levels, real estate market driven by end users keep it alive, and developers are well capitalised.
